The 'Touring Potter' Maisie will professionally guide you as a small group (each with your own wheel) and learn how to throw and create your own beautiful clay masterpieces.

Your pots will be glazed and fired and then available for you to collect at a later date from Painty Pots.

Your opportunity for some much needed 'me time' 

A fun and relaxed adults-only evening where you can choose your own pottery pieces to paint and just enjoy an evening of being creative.

We fire your pieces in one of our kilns ready for you to collect the following week. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and nibbles 🍷

Join us at Painty Pots studio for a Festive fun inspired session with your little one: 

~10 minute photo-shoot with the incredible Rachael at Bell View Photography for your baby including 1 high res digital photo of your choice (more available to purchase if wanted) 

~1 beautiful ceramic bauble with your little ones hand or footprint and personalised to your specification. (Price includes personalisation with babys name & age, glazing and firing)

Props will be available during your photoshoot - feel free to dress your little one in a special outfit if you would like.

Images will be emailed to you so that you can choose your favorite - they make amazing cards and gifts!

Baubles will be ready the following week for collection once glazed and fired.

1.5 hour workshop for children £18.50

Join us for a creative 1.5 hour 'stay and create' session to explore the colourful world of glass fusing.

We'll show you how to safely use coloured glass pieces to create your own beautiful window suncatcher with your own design. Its fun and relaxing and oh so satisfying!

Suitable for ages 7-16

You'll leave your creation with us to fire in one of our kilns and it will be ready for you to collect again within 2 weeks. 

Children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks are available at the studio for a small additional charge.

1.5 hour workshop for children £12.50

Join us for a fun and creative session where your child can make their very own door plaque with clay and ceramic tools.

This 90 minute session will be led by our clay creative Natalie who will guide you using simple clay techniques to build up your fabulous door plaque. We will be using professional quality air-dry clay and you can take home a kit of acrylic paint colours to decorate it when its dry the following week. 

Suitable for children ages 5 - 15.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

6 hour intermediate workshop £50

Excited to welcome Great British Sewing Bee's Mercedes back to Painty Pots for our very own Sewdown!

This workshop is targeted at sewers who know their way around their sewing machines and have a particular project of their own that they would like to work on during the day. 

Mercedes will be available throughout the day to help with all aspects of your make, whether you need assistance with fitting and adjustment techniques, have construction questions or just general help and advice. Each individual can work at their own pace during the day so as to ensure an enjoyable experience.

Mercedes will also be demonstrating a quick and useful make or a sewing technique that can be incorporated into your garment making. 

 Attendees will need to bring their own machines in good working order.

24th January 2025 7pm

2 hour session for beginners £27.50

A fun guided workshop suitable for beginners, we will be taking you through some basic techniques of handbuilding with clay to create your very own Highland Cow. 

Have fun giving her personality and character in this relaxed and fun session.

Please note, your cow will be bisque fired in the kiln so that you can return to paint it at the studio with our speciality glazes. This return visit is included in the workshop price

4 hour intermediate workshop £40

Excited to welcome Great British Sewing Bee's Mercedes back to Painty Pots for a new 'Lacy Knickers' workshop.

 This workshop is targeted at sewers who know their way around their sewing machines and  wish to progress to sewing lingerie.  

 The workshop will start with finding your correct pattern size followed by how to layout the  pattern correctly on the fabric and the lace. Different methods of cutting out your fabric will  be explored and you will go through the sewing order and the different techniques and  tips that can be used to create your own lingerie. 

Mercedes will be available throughout the workshop to answer questions and help you get  the most out of the workshop. 

Fabrics, lace and elastic will be provided however attendees will need to bring their own machines in good working order and basic Sewing kit.
